1900
Around 1900 A. Heylen and his wife, D. Geerts, opened a shop for glass products and painting equipment in the centre of Herentals.
1950 Demand from the construction sector increased sharply and Heylen-Geerts relocated to a more spacious location at the edge of Herentals city centre.
1981 In 1981 the company relocated to its current site at Herentals industry zone in order to increase production capacity.
1995 1995 saw the introduction of some structural changes and the company began focussing on industrial glass treatment for the construction sector, professional trade and furniture industry.
1996 In
1996 Heylen-Geerts was one of the first independent glass treatment
companies to purchase a tempering furnace.
2000 An
adjoining site was purchased and 2000 saw the start of building
activities on a brand new production hall. In the same year,
a new furnace was installed.
2007 HG
installed its third new toughning furnace to keep up with demand
for safety glass.
NOW HG has approximately 14,000 m² of workfloor space and specialised top-quality machinery.
